Safety

Safety training is presented at each monthly membership meeting, held the second Tuesday of each month, 5:30pm at the flying club. Visitors are always welcome. Members must attend every semi-annual Safety Day Brief and at least every other monthly Safety Meeting to retain PIC privileges. To gain credit for a missed meeting, members must complete a Missed Meeting Form and hand it in to the Manager or any board member. Presentations can be downloaded below.

Aviation Safety Reporting System (ASRS)
The Aviation Safety Reporting System is a cooperative program established by the Federal Aviation Administration‘s Office of the Assistant Administrator for System Safety, and administered by NASA.


The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB)
The National Transportation Safety Board is an independent Federal agency charged by Congress with investigating every civil aviation accident in the United States and significant accidents in the other modes of transportation — railroad, highway, marine and pipeline — and issuing safety recommendations aimed at preventing future accidents.
